Microsoft’s E3 2013 show to be streamed over Xbox LIVE

Major Nelson, the official spokesperson for Xbox, has revealed Microsoft's official E3 invitation and that live coverage of the Xbox Media Briefing at this year's E3 event will be streamed over Xbox LIVE.

Larry Hryb (a.k.a. Major Nelson), Microsoft's official spokesperson for Xbox, has recently shown off what Microsoft's official E3 invitation looks like and that live coverage of the "Xbox Media Briefing" will be streamed via the web and Xbox LIVE.

Microsoft is expected to attend this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo–one of the major gaming and technology events of the year–along with its major rival, Sony, to showcase its next-gen contender the Xbox 720/Durango.

Microsoft's official E3 invitation for their press conference centered on the new next-gen Xbox console.

Interestingly enough, Nintendo will not be hosting a press conference at E3 2013, leaving gaming giants Sony and Microsoft to compete against one another at the show.

Microsoft has to reveal their highly anticipated next-gen contender the Xbox 720/Durango during a separate event on May 21st, giving them a few weeks to prepare the barrage of information to be unveiled during E3 a month later.

The official unveiling will put many of the recent controversial rumors–like the hotly disputed always on debacle, or the Xbox Mini required for full backwards compatibility–centered on Microsoft's next-gen Xbox to the test, and is likely to touch upon the console's features including hardware, peripherals/accessories and software.

For those gamers who can't attend the event in June, Microsoft will be streaming the entire show "to the web and over Xbox LIVE on June 10th", affording fans the opportunity to take part in the event without having to be there.

E3 2013 will be held on June 11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and for more information please visit the event's official website.
