According to rumors, Microsoft is planning to launch the successor to the Surface Book next month, aiming to take on Apple’s new 2016 MacBook Pro head-on.
The Surface Book 2 is rumored to receive a major upgrade in the display department, with the resolution going up from 3000 x 2000 to 4K or 3840 x 2160. A USB Type-C port is rumored to be included as well, which is definitely not surprising.
What does seem a little strange to us is that the report suggests the Surface Book 2 might be powered by the 7th Generation Intel ‘Kaby Lake’ processors. The ‘Kaby Lake’ processors for notebooks aren’t expected to be released until towards the end of the year, so we don’t think that it is possible for the Surface Book 2 to be powered by 7th Gen Intel Core processors.
