Microsoft reportedly developing ‘affordable flagship’ Lumia smartphone with a metal frame

Lumia830

Microsoft could roll out a new ‘affordable flagship’ handset by Spring next year, claims an exclusive report published by WMPowerUser.

The device will be Microsoft’s mid-range Windows 10 Mobile offering and is tipped to include a metal frame, somewhat similar to the Lumia 930. In short, this could be the eventual successor to the Lumia 830 handset that debuted under Nokia branding.

No other info about the device is said to be available currently, so we will have to wait until a few rumors about the device’s spec-sheet surface online. But then, we don’t really expect the device to be remarkable in the specs department anyway, considering the fact that it will be positioned as a high value for money offering by Microsoft. However, the metal frame could prove to be a major USP as even the upcoming Lumia flagship duo is expected to sport polycarbonate builds.
