Microsoft has launched the preview page for Windows 8.1

Microsoft has just put up a page that says that the Windows 8.1 preview is coming soon. The page also offers new graphics and other details.

Microsoft hasn’t been shy in explaining and sometimes defending their next major update to their Windows operating system. Windows 8.1’s focus looks to be aimed at tackling certain customer complaints mostly having to do with the unfriendly interface for non-touch devices.

Along with the return of the Start button comes improved search and improved features for the Start screen. For those who haven’t been keeping up with the news, although the Start button is indeed returning, it will not function like the Start menu of old.  It will just act as a button that will launch the new Modern UI start screen .

If you’re looking for more details, head over to the preview page and scroll to the bottom where you’ll find a variety of links including some that showcase and fully detail some of the changes that are coming with the free update for Windows 8 users. With the launch of this preview page, it looks like a lot more information isn’t too far away.
