Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Unveils Windows Phone 7

Last night, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled their highly anticipated Windows Phone 7 to the world. The new phones will be available from leading mobile operators in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific this holiday season.

Microsoft and partners have jointly announced nine Windows Phone 7 handsets at the launch in New York City last night (Singapore time). According to Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, the new phones are designed to deliver a different user experience; they let you get more things done in fewer steps, and provide timely information in a ‘glance and go’ format.

The Windows Phone 7 will be available from device makers such as Dell, LG and Samsung. In Asia Pacific, the HTC HD 7 and LG Optimus 7 will be launched in Singapore.
