As rumored earlier, Microsoft is expected to unveil the Band 2 at its October 6th event where it will debut some exciting new Windows 10 products. Ahead of its debut, leaked renders of the Microsoft Band sequel have shown up online.
According to the Spanish source, the wearable is code named ‘Envoy’ and features a much improved design over its predecessor. The new model boasts of a curved shape, allowing it to fit much better on your wrist. Apart from improved ergonomics, the new model also gets a metallic front panel, and the battery is now placed beneath the display, rather than on the side.
As you would expect from a fitness band released in 2015, the Microsoft Band 2 can count your steps, monitor your heart rate, calories burnt, and sync all the data with Microsoft’s health apps available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms. In addition to all the usual features, the Microsoft Band will be able to track your sleep as well, computing total hours of restful sleep each night.
