Lite-On announces Mu-II series consumer SSDs

Lite-On

Lite-On today announced the Mu-II series of consumer solid state drives.

The Mu-II series drives are 2.5-inch form-factor drives that utilize the SATA 6 Gb/s interface. These drives will be available in capacities of 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB. As far as performance goes, the most expensive 480GB variant is claimed to offer sequential read speeds of up to 555 MB/s and write speeds of 520 MB/s. The 240GB and 120GB variants on the other hand aren’t as impressive with sequential read speeds of up to 500 MB/s and write speeds of up to 360 MB/s with the 120GB variant.

The Mu-II series uses 15nm TLC NAND flash memory from Toshiba and comes with standard features such as TRIM and NCQ. All three variants come with a 3-year warranty.
