At CES 2018, LG Electronics presented its vision for the connected smart kitchen of the future. With new products such as the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator, the EasyClean oven range and the QuadWash dishwasher, LG hopes to maximise efficiency and allow you to spend less time stressing in the kitchen and more time enjoying being at home.
LG InstaView ThinQ is a new smart refrigerator offering a streamlined food management system through LG’s WebOS platform and Alexa’s voice recognition technology. The fridge boasts a 29-inch touch LCD display that can either serve as a computer display or a transparent window, which allows you to select recipes. Together with the EasyClean oven, once a recipe is selected, the fridge can automatically send the information to the connected oven and Alexa will verbally guide you through each step of the cooking process. The connected fridge also works with Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, as well as other streaming music services
There’s also the LG EasyClean oven, which can not only automatically start preheating to prepare for a recipe, but can also alert you when it requires cleaning via smartphone notifications. Similarly, the LG EasyClean oven will send information to your connected QuadWash dishwasher to set its next cycle based on what you are cooking. Both the EasyClean oven and QuadWash dishwasher can be controlled using voice commands and LG CLOi Hub Bot.
