LG to showcase glasses-free 3D for mobile devices, Optimus Black smartphone and premium notebooks

LG

At the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, Korean manufacturer LG will showcase their glasses-free 3D for mobile devices, the new Optimus Black smartphone running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and three elegant laptops – LG P210, LG P420 and LG A520.

LG will showcase glasses-free 3D display for mobile devices at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Featuring a WVGA touchscreen (480×800 pixel resolution), the 4.3-inch 3D display offers optimum screen size for watching 3D imagea and videos on a mobile device. Users can watch videos or play games without straining their eyes with the display’s immersive 3D technology that provide exceptionally bright and flicker-free images.

Using an applied parallax barrier technology, this helps to deliver a series of light-blocking slits attached to the front of the LCD panel. The slits also ensure that the left and right eyes see different images, creating an illusion of depth and thus resulting a convincing 3D effect.
