LG Optimus GK – yet another 5″ phablet with Snapdragon 600/LTE

LG has unveiled a new variant of their growing Optimus G family. Dubbed the Optimus GK, this new entrant is a hybrid between last year's Optimus G flagship and the current Optimus G Pro phablet.

The LG Optimus GK is the newest entrant to the LG Optimus range of high end smartphones. Featuring updated specifications found in the phablet flagship Optimus G Pro, the new 5 incher defnintely packs a punch with it's new engine under the hood. Sadly, this phone is exclusive to Korea (for now).

LG Optimus GK Specifications:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Chipset
  • 1.7 GHz Quad Core Krait 300 GPU
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • 2 GB Of RAM
  • 5 Inch 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD
  • 16 GB Of Internal Storage
  • MicroSD Card Slot
  • 13 MP Rear / 2 MP Front Cameras
  • 3,100 mAh Battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • 4G LTE support

The display becomes smaller but it still squeezes in more pixels for a stunning 440 ppi pixel density thereby joining the rest of the 5 inch 1080p packing bandwagon. Here's hoping that LG Optimus GK makes a global debut soon as many people have been waiting for the 1080p 5 inch hybrid between the beautiful Optimus G and the (also beautiful but tad large for one hand) G Pro for a while.
