There’s a lot of people looking forward to LG’s next flagship smartphone and not only because it’ll pack a punch. It might also hint at what you could expect for the next Nexus phone in terms of specs if history is any indication.
Always popular leakers evleaks have shared images they’ve received of LG’s upcoming flagship device the Optimus G2. The phone is expected to feature Android version 4.2.2, a 13 megapixel rear camera, a 5.5″ full HD display that goes from edge to edge, a Snapdragon S800 processor, and 2GB of RAM.
Another interesting aspect of the device that you can see from these pictures are what appears to be volume buttons on the back of the phone rather than the side. If that is indeed what those buttons are for then it marks an interesting shift in design and one that hasn’t been done by anyone else before. Check out the rest of the pictures below.
The phone is expected to be revealed at LG’s event on July 7th. Another interesting point to remember is that last years Nexus 4 was based on the original LG Optimus G in terms of specs so you might even learn what to expect on that front at the event as well. Only time will tell.
