LG Electronics (LG) has announced the global launch of its first Windows Phone 7 devices, LG Optimus 7 and LG Optimus 7Q . Building on Microsoft’s new mobile operating system, the LG Optimus 7 series claims to offer a whole new experience of mobile life.

LG and Microsoft have been working closely together for the Windows Phone 7, and the LG Optimus 7 series boast a ‘glance and go’ experience with proprietary features from the smartphone manufacturer. The applications include DLNA-based Play To, augmented reality (AR) and Voice-to-Text, which are available as Live Tiles on Windows Phone 7 and can be accessed via integrated “Hubs”.

The LG Optimus 7 comes with a 3.8-inch LCD display that supports 800×480 pixel resolution, the same resolution offered by the LG Optimus 7Q’s 3.5-inch display. The main difference is the LG Optimus 7Q is designed with an ergonomic QWERTY keypad.

Both phones will be rolled-out in over 35 countries via 100 global partners and operators starting with Europe and Asia on October 21.
