LG launches KS20 Windows Mobile Phone

Singapore, March 13 2008 — LG Electronics, a worldwide technology leader in mobile communications has today announced the launch of its first Windows Mobile ® 6 smartphone in Asia – the LG KS20. Designed to provide an enriched mobile internet experience in a slim and stylish device, the LG KS20 smartphone features a full complement of multimessaging and multimedia functionality including push email, instant messaging, video calling and even an inbuilt FM radio. The LG KS20 also provides unsurpassed flexibilities in wireless connectivity options with built-in WiFi and support for HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access) wireless broadband at speeds of up to 3.2Mbps.

Appealing to those who admire a phone for its design as much as its features, the glossy KS20 has a 2.8” LCD flat touch screen with an intuitive touch system that users can navigate and input instructions with a stylus as well as with their fingers. Slim and sleek at only 12.8mm thin, the LG KS20 further integrates a 2 megapixel camera, MP3 playback, Bluetooth 2.0, Cursive script recognition, WiFi connectivity, 128MB internal memory, Micro SD external memory support and video calling.
 
Customers can also appreciate the LG KS20’s full complement of office productivity applications from Microsoft®, such as Outlook®, Office, and Windows Live™ for Windows Mobile. Productivity users will be able to sync with Microsoft® Exchange out-of-the-box, create and edit Word and Excel documents, as well as view PowerPoint presentations.
 
The LG-KS20 will be available locally at major mobile phone retail outlets from 13 March 2008 priced at $ 888 (including GST).
