Lepa G1600-MA 1600W PSU Review

The G series 1600W PSU comes supplied in a large cardboard box with a simplistic artwork theme, most of which is dark with golden accents, concentrating on the 80Plus Gold certification which this unit has. Strangely, there is no logo of the certification to be seen at the front side of the package, which is strange for any company as they usually flood the artwork with every logo they can find.

Inside the box everything is compartmentalized into separate smaller boxes. A layer of polyethylene foam forms an additional protective layer for the power supply itself.

For a power supply of this class, the bundle is downright Spartan. Only an A/C power cable, four basic mounting screws and a very short manual accompany the most powerful commercial power supply unit on the planet.

The LEPA G1600-MA is a fully modular unit and thus it is accompanied by a great number of cables. There are twelve cables which may provide up to two 12V EPS CPU 8-pin connectors, one 12V 4-pin CPU connector, ten 6+2 pin PCIe connectors, ten Molex connectors, fourteen SATA connectors, two floppy drive connectors and of course the standard 24-pin ATX connector. All of the cables are standard color-coded cables and are covered by black sleeving.
