Lenovo’s Vibe Z2 Pro is a game-changing phablet with Quad HD display, 4,000 mAh battery

Not exactly a household name of the mobile industry yet, Lenovo is making great strides to improve its brand awareness, reportedly working on a 6-inch Android phablet that will put Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 to shame.

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro

Even without Motorola’s support (remember, the acquisition is still pending approval), Lenovo’s Android love story might be entering a new stage, thanks to a gigantic, ultra-powerful future handheld called Vibe Z2 Pro. Following in the footsteps of the mildly underwhelming Vibe Z, this bad boy was nowhere to be seen in the rumor mill until today, yet its formal intro is likely right around the corner.

Showcased at a (not so) covert internal event, the Z2 Pro somehow balances outstanding battery life with slimness, also getting with the Quad HD program. The 6-inch display thus boasts 2,560 x 1,400 pixels resolution, the juicer accommodates 4,000 mAh capacity, and the wasp waist measures a scanty 7.7 mm thick.

How did they pull it all off? No idea, but the good, nay excellent news doesn’t stop there. The Note 3 (LG G3?) “killer” touts a state-of-the-art 16 MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization, plus 4G LTE connectivity.

Unfortunately, Lenovo has never been privy to wide mobile launches, so odds are their next-gen spearhead will remain exclusive to China or maybe make its way to limited European territories with limited 4G support.

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro-back

That would be a huge bummer, I agree, particularly as the Vibe Z2 Pro rocks an all-metal exterior, warranting its reliability, sturdiness and high degree of elegance. The cherry on top of the first-rate list of features is a quad-core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, paired, we presume, with 3 GB RAM. Or maybe 4.

Sure, Snapdragon 805 would have been outright mind-blowing, but my mind is blown enough already. How about yours?
