Lenovo launches A1000, A3000 and S6000 Android tablets in India

Lenovo India has announced that it is launching three new tablets in the country: the A1000 is aimed at the budget segment and is already available and the A3000 and S6000 are going on sale by the end of the month.

After launching 6 mobiles simultaneously in the country in May, Lenovo is back at it, this time with tablets. The Chinese manufacturer has announced that the A3000 and S6000 will soon be available in India. The A1000 was unveiled by Lenovo in January, and has been on sale in India since the end of last month.

Lenovo A1000

The A1000 features a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024X600, a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek 8317 processor (Cortex A9), 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 0.3MP front camera, 2G voice calling and a 3,500 mAh battery. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The A1000 is targeted toward a budget crowd, and is priced at INR 8,980 ($145).

Lenovo A3000

The A3000 has slightly better hardware and is set to cost INR 16,000 ($260). It comes with a 1 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6575 processor(Cortex A9), the same 7-inch screen with a 1024X600 resolution, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM along with the microSD card to extend storage. It features 3G connectivity and voice calling along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The A3000 also has a 5 MP camera and a 3,500 mAh battery. The A3000 comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Lenovo S6000

The S6000 is a mid-range 10-inch tablet and has a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280X800 resolution, 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 8125 processor (Cortex A7), 1 GB RAM, 16 gig internal memory, 5 MP camera, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a 6,350 mAh battery. The S6000 also features Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
