Leaked Huawei P6 renders show iPhone influence in designs

GizChina has posted a new image that they claim is the leaked render of the unannounced Huawei P6 smartphone. Why should you be interested? Well, the company only claims the P6 to be the worlds thinnest smartphone!

A new leaked render of the upcoming Huawei P6 smartphone shows us of a design that is possibly inspired by the Apple iPhone 5. The leaked render shows us the top right side of the phone that highlights the front camera, the speaker grille and the curved edges of what looks to be an aluminum build (hopefully not brushed over plastic polycarbonate).

The alloy band circling around the handset brings out the obvious similarities with Apple's iPhone 5, and we can only wonder if that company might issue a notice (or worse, lawsuit) because of that. We also get a peak at what will most definitely be Huawei's updated Emotion UI. Notice the pure white icons and text with a (probably) 50-80% opacity black status bar background. We also get a clipped out look at the weather widget, and perhaps the photo widget beside it and the clock widget below.

Huawei is expected to unveil their "world's thinnest phone" tag bearing smartphone next month. Rumors hint at a thickness between 6.18 mm to 6.3 mm for final production units. The rest of the specifications as per previous reports suggest a 1.5 GHz quad core Huawei developed K3V2 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera and a (rather big) 5 MP front camera. We can only hope that Huawei doesn't compromise too much on battery life (an awfully low rated battery would kill this handset) to attain such a thin profile.
