Japan to get Lady Gaga-designed mobile printer in “early September”

Would you like to get your hands on a mobile printer that has reportedly been designed by the pop star Lady Gaga herself? Well, if you do, your best bet will be to ask a Japanese friend to assist you in purchasing and shipping the unit over from the Land of the Rising Sun, as Summit Global Japan has announced that the aforementioned printer will be making its way down to the Japanese market for retail come "early September".

Now that celebrity-endorsed products are fast becoming a good method for capturing the hearts of consumers, it would make sense that many manufacturers are extremely keen on signing up various big-name superstars to design some of their products in order to make them stand out from the competition. And if you happen top be a huge fan of the pop superstar known as Lady Gaga…well, let's just say that Polaroid has got something in store for you, and it comes in the form of the GL10 mobile printer that is currently heading over to Japan for sale come "early September".

First unveiled at CES this year, the Lady Gaga-designed GL10 Instant Mobile Printer is touted as the first Polaroid brand product under the Grey Label line, which is a new brand that the singer launched for the company upon taking up the post as a creative director for Polaroid products last year. According to Polaroid, the GL10 boasts various features such as the use of the 2nd generation ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology which is reportedly capable of inkless printing by embedding color directly into the paper, wireless print capabilities via smartphone and a wide range of custom designed borders, among many others.

Sounds interesting? Well, you have got to be prepared to break the piggy bank if you want to get your hands on one of these Lady Gaga-designed GL10 mobile printers, for Summit Global Japan has confirmed that the printer will be selling at the suggested retail price of 17,800 yen (approx US$224).
