Intel Eaglelake Chipset In Q2 2008

We first told you about Eaglelake
last month and now

HKEPC
has some additional information on this new chipset. Bearlake would be
soon replaced by Eaglelake in Q208 and there are 2 derivatives; Eaglelake-P and
Eaglelake-G. It supports 45nm dual-core Wolfdale and quad-core Yorkfield on
1333MHz FSB. The memory support is up to DDR3-1333 instead of DDR3-1066 on
Bearlake. The entire Eaglelake series will be support PCI Express 2.0 where on
Bearlake, only X36 chipset will support PCIe 2.0. It will be paired up with
ICH10 southbridge that could offer support for 10GB and
Wireless Ethernet controllers with some new technologies to reduce CPU load and
improve power consumption revealed in
our earlier article

There is a new IGP that features HDMI, DVI, HDCP,
DisplayPort. HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are also supported.
