Inno3D GeForce 6600LE OC PCI Express

Nvidia has recently introduced the 6600LE, poised to take over the 6200s in the budget graphics segment. Today, we’ll find out why the Inno3D 6600LE is so different from its 6200 counterparts, and how it fares against the Geforce 6200.

NVIDIA had no doubt dominated the mid range market, especially with the
raging success of the GeForce 6600 family of GPUs. Also, with technologies like
Shader Model 3.0, Scalable Link Interface (SLI) and readily available in both
AGP and PCIe, the GeForce 6600 family had captured many budget enthusiast’s
hearts. The GeForce 6200 however, only shined with their Turbocache parts.
However, with close pricing of the full 6200 as compared to the 6600, the jump
in terms of feature set is pretty great. While the 6200 does not come in SLi
configuration at all, users who itch to get the latest piece of technology, have
to go for the more expensive 6600. There is no gapping product in between at

The NVIDIA GeForce 6600LE is meant to bridge this gapping difference between
the 6200 and the 6600. Pretty much like the full GeForce 6200, this card is
based on the NV43 core, it is just like a 6600/6600GT. However, this 6600LE has
one quad of the pipelines disabled, making this card a 4×1 pixel pipeline, 3
vertex pipeline product, just like those non-TC based 6200. But the glaring
difference with the 6600LE series is it’s SLI capabilities. NVIDIA hopes to make
their proprietary technology a widespread one, and synonymous to higher

Today, VR-Zone take a look at such a product, the Inno3D GeForce 6600LE OC
PCI Express . Meant for overclockers, like it’s name already suggest, this card
comes with high end GDDR3 2.0ns memory, similar to GeForce 6600GT parts. Also,
with RAM sinks, this card once again is made for overclocks.

Pretty generic box from Inno3D, but it is always what’s inside
that matters.

Two is always better then one – The pair of Inno3D GeForce
6600LE OC PCI Express. Based on GeForce 6600LE, this is made with SLI targeted
for the masses.
