Hynix pleads guilty to DRAM price fixing

The US Department of Justice has settled its case with memory maker Hynix. Hynix plead guilty to DRAM price fixing between 1999 and 2002 and was assessed a fine of $ 185 million. Executives from Infineon have also pleaded guilty to DRAM price fixing, and both Micron and Samsung remain under investigation.
