HTC Announces 3 New Smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2010

HTC HD Mini HTC Desire HTC Legend

Today, HTC unveils two new Android smartphones – HTC Desire and HTC Legend – with enhanced HTC Sense experience for the users. The manufacturer also announced the HTC HD Mini, a compact version of the HD2 Windows Phone. All three phones are scheduled to launch in early Q2.

“Quietly Brilliant became our brand position and it is about doing great things in a humble way. We believe that the best things in life can only be experienced, not explained. Today, we unveiled three top tier products which feature great design with great user experience. This year seems very strong and with these new products and customer relationships, we are really very excited about 2010.” said Peter Chou, CEO and President of HTC.

We have a brief hands-on with the HTC Legend which resembles the HTC Hero that was launched last year. The HTC Legend features a single aluminum chassis which looks very stylish and feels very lightweight.

The Android phone sports a 3.2-inch AMOLED HVGA display and below the screen is an optical joystick (instead of a trackball on the HTC Hero). The HTC Legend is also very responsive when we scroll using our finger.
