HP Unveils New ENVY, Pavilion and Mini notebook PCs based on MUSE philosophy


Last month, HP announced their new consumer notebook PCs that are based on their MUSE (Material, Usability, Sensory Appeal and Experience) design philosophy. On Friday, the maker held an event to showcase the new products to the local media.

E-Vonne Loh, Marcom Program Manager of HP Personal Systems Group and SMB Business Segment, Asia Pacific and Japan, talks about the company’s product design and introduced the MUSE design philosophy.

“We (HP) are not just about products and colours, but also on the increased technology such as the thoughts put into how we are going to showcase certain patterns, what a customer want in terms of making their computer personal. We also have a lot of special editions over the years, one of which is the Vivienne Tam’s edition, and its the first time we saw fashion meeting technology.”

Vermount Hoh, Product Marketing Manager of HP Mobile Business unit, Personal Systems Group, Asia Pacific and Japan, introduced the stylish and lightweight HP Mini 110. And it has a very attractive S$499 price tag, which Hoh claims to be the first time such a mini notebook PC would be priced at.

The HP Mini 110 features chiclet-styled keyboard and claims to offer 8-hour usage on its 6-cell battery. According to HP, there will be a model of Mini 110 with built-in 3G card slot for convenience of users who are already using 3G data on the go.

The new Pavilion laptops are equipped with the new Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and come with full-metal chassis and laser-etched pattern that looks good.
