HP Mini 210
Not everybody needs the kind of raw power and size found in the ENVY series: some only require a simple yet portable machine for checking email and web surfing. And such needs are well-covered with HP’s redesigned Mini 210 netbook computer.
Available in four different colours (Crimson Read, Luminous Rose, Ocean Drive and Charcoal), the Mini 210 sports an inline 6-cell battery which HP claims is capable of lasting up to 10.75 hours on a single charge. Furthermore, at less than 1-inch thick and weighing at only 1.26kg, the Mini 210 makes for a highly portable device well-suited for people who are frequent consumers of online content while on the move.
In addition, HP will also offer consumers a variety of processors to choose from for the Mini. This ranges from the current single-core Atom N455 and N475 processors to the more powerful dual-core N550, thus giving consumers more flexibility in their netbook configuration. And for those who desire a little more out of their netbook, HP is also offering optional hardware such as a 10-inch HD display and Broadcom’s Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator, which allows for hardware-assisted acceleration of HD content.
Lastly, HP has also bundled in several software applications like QuickSync (file synchronization tool), QuickWeb (quick-boot OS) and Navigator (mapping and GPS-centric features) to further enhance the user experience of the Mini 210.
HP G-Series notebooks
Now that we have covered both the extreme ends of the mobile computing spectrum, it is time to see what HP has in store for the average consumer who desires an all-round system capable of fulfilling most mainstream tasks today. And HP has got that segment covered with its new G-series of notebooks, the G42 and G62.
As a new entry-level range of consumer notebooks that offer a compelling combination of performance, looks and value, the HP G Series is ideal for consumers who want a productivity tool that will enable them to accomplish their daily tasks with minimal fuss.
Measuring under 1.24-inch thin and starting from 2.2-kilos, the HP G Series is designed to perfectly express full PC functionality and performance to fit the way consumers envision their connected, hassle-free multimedia experience to be.
Both the HP G42 and G62 feature the latest i3 and i5 processors, with up to 5.5 hours of battery life from an integrated 6-cell battery. The HP G62 is capable of up to 750GB storage space for work, music, photos and other multimedia content to maximize consumers’ computing experience at work or at home.
