22 August 2017 – HARMAN International announced that law enforcement authorities in Thailand and Brazil had successfully conducted a series of raids on manufacturers and distributors of counterfeit HARMAN products.
The products involve knock-offs of popular JBL Professional, JBL Consumer, and dbX Professional products. More than 1600 fake JBL audio products were confiscated in Brazil alone, including portable bluetooth speakers; while in Thailand almost 600 imitation JBL professional products were seized from retail outlets, warehouses and factories throught Udon Thani and Phuket.
