Its handy especially if you need help to identify certain landmarks or product barcodes. While the Google Goggles app is offered on Android phones, the search engine giant has recently released it for  the Apple iPhone.

The Google Goggles image recognition app is usually offered on Android devices, although the company has plans to release it on iPhone as well as Blackberry devices. And now this has became a reality for iPhone users as they can now download this app from the Apple App store. According to the company, the Google Goggles will only work with iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4 running iOS 4 or above because the app requires an auto-focusing camera.
