Google embeds Atari’s classic game ‘Breakout’ into image search

If your job involves staring at a computer screen with an internet connection then perhaps this little Google Easter may provide you with five minutes of sanity.

To celebrate the 37-year-old classic game Breakout, the search engine has embedded a clone of the game into people’s browser if you search for “Atari Breakout” via Google’s image search.  The game, if you’ve never played it before, involves using a paddle to ricochet a tiny ball to destroy blocks.  Google's take on the game is simple, the searched images are destructible blocks, and to move on in the game just destroy all the blocks.

Go ahead, we know you want to, I’m sure your boss won’t mind.  Heck, tell your boss about it.
