Google adds more locations to Street View in Singapore

You can now do a lot more than look at the streets with Google’s new Special Collections for Street View in Singapore, which will enable you to experience 360 degree panoramic views of 30 newly mapped locations in Singapore including national parks like the new Punggol Waterway Park; offshore islands such as St. John’s Island and Kusu Islands; tourists attractions such as the SEA Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa and Universal Studios Singapore; and even shopping malls like TANGS at Tang Plaza.

The Street View Tracker contains multiple cameras for full 360 coverage, GPS trackers, electronics and a battery pack.

Google has even teamed up with running enthusiasts group JustRunLah! who will be capturing over 30 running routes throughout Singapore that covers more than 400 km in total so far – no mean feat as the Google Street View Trekker – a backpack unit with multi-camera system, GPS, batteries and electronics weighs about 20kg!
