GIGABYTE X79-UD7 Overclocking Review

GIGABYTE has chosen to use white boxes for their entire lineup except for the G1 Assassin 2 which is the typical G1 box. It looks almost like GIGABYTE took a page out of Apple's playbook as their packaging inside the box is white as well. The package is very sleek and as you can see GIGABYTE is very excited about their "3D" offerings. 

Accessories included with this board are excessive to say the least, and excessive is good in this case. Not only do we have all the proper SLI/CF bridges (even the hard to find 4-way bridge) we also have the USB 3.0 front panel bay and Bluetooth 4.0/Wifi card and antennas.

Here we have the monster X79-UD7. It is XL-ATX, but not quite as long as the X58A-UD9. It should fit in some more cases than a full sized XL-ATX board, but still not fit into many cases. We don't think this board was meant to sit in a case anyway. The orange and black color scheme is brilliantly executed, if anything the board really looks damn good. Everything seems as though it has enough room to breathe, the first PCI-E 16x slot is far enough down from the DIMMs so that you can change out the DIMMs and/or insulate the back of your first GPU for LN2 action with ease. We seem to have ample PCI-E spacing as well as a good amount of SATA ports and even some extra PCI-E power connectors. The USB 3.0 internal header is well placed onto the far right of the board for easy access for a front USB 3.0 panel.

If we take a look at the board again we can see an astounding 7 fan connectors, almost all of them are PWM 4-Pin. All of them have some sort of BIOS and in-Windows control.
