GIGABYTE today introduced a new GeForce GTX 1070 based card, the GeForce GTX 1070 WindForce 2X OC.
The “cost-effective” card comes with the WindForce 2X cooling solution that utilizes a compact twin aluminum-fin stack heatsink and a pair of 90mm fans. To ensure quiet operation, the two fans will not turn on if the card is merely idling.
The card comes factory overclocked with a 1582 MHz core and 1771 MHz boost clock in “OC mode”. In “Gaming” mode, the card will have the core clocked at 1556 MHz with a 1746 MHz boost clock. That’s not a very high overclock though, as you would expect from one of the lower priced GeForce GTX 1070 cards. Display connectors include three Display Port 1.2, a single dual-link DVI, and a single HDMI 2.0b port.
In the US, the card is currently listed at $399 on the Newegg website.
