Galaxy Note III may launch earlier then expected to counter poor S4 sales

A new rumor suggests that the Korean Giant may launch the much awaited Galaxy Note III earlier than expected. Why? The main reason analysts believe are the poor sales figures of its flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4.

Earlier leaks suggested that Samsung will unveil Galaxy Note III in September at IFA 2013 in Berlin. A rumor has it that Samsung may unveil the device earlier then expected. This is backed up the recent report which mentioned that Samsung is reducing the production of Galaxy S4 by almost 15% due to the fall in sales.

At the time of launch, the company predicted that Galaxy S4 sales would be 10million for April and 12.2million in May. However, the things didn’t turn out the way Samsung expected them to be which resulted in a loss of almost $12 billion, as reported by Wall Street Journal and Reuters.

ETNews reports that Samsung also dropped the supply of Galaxy S4 components of almost 6.5 million units in the month of July.

The early launch of Galaxy Note III may not be able to boost the sales of Galaxy S4 but it can definitely bring in the dough considering fervent consumer demand for phablets. According to rumors, Galaxy Note III will sport a 5.99-inch display, 3 GB RAM, 13 MP Rear Camera, LTE Support and weighs almost 182 grams. The details about the processor are not yet available but I hope that it comes with the all powerful, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

As per our sources, Samsung is expected to announce the much awaited, Galaxy Note III later this evening in London. We will update you as soon as possible. Keep checking VR-Zone for more updates.
