Gainward GeForce 6600 GT PCI-E Overclocking & Voltage Modding

We have a little rant to
make about the card, as you see in the picture below, the heat sink is flimsily
mounted and can easily be pressed to one side.

This meant that thermal interface is not as ideal. Thus, we did a little mod
with 2 nuts to increase mounting pressure.

Now the heat sink is mounted more tightly and securely.

The temperature dropped 5C simply by doing this, from 44C to 39C:

And the overclock improved from 570/1240 to 580/1280, giving a score of
9569.

Not stopping there, we performed a little “pencil drawing” to increase the
voltage.
