Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific unveils new LifeBooks

This afternoon, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific launched their latest ‘winter collection’ of Lifebooks, which consists of LifeBook T4410, P3110, P3010, P8110 and the highlight of the collection, the new UH900.

Lim Teck Sin, Director of Product Marketing for Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific, was at the event to introduce the new Lifebook models and talked about the company’s focus on product design and coming up with thinner and lighter notebook PCs for the mobile users.

Nobuharu Masuyama, Concept Designer for Fujitsu, demostrates how the design of the UH900 comes about and the various features of the tiny ultra-mobile PC.

The Lifebook UH900 has the size similar to the Sony VAIO P, but looks more like an enlarged Nintendo DS with keyboard. The 5.6-inch multi-touch display supports 1280×800 resolution which makes the icons and words pretty small to look at. However, it is extremely responsive to use.

Two USB ports and a unique connector for a LAN and VGA out module are located on the front. The pointing stick is on the above right of the compact keyboard, while the left/right buttons are on the opposite side. Other features include 62GB SSD drive, Windows 7 OS, Bluetooth, integrated web camera, stereo mic, and built-in 3.5G connectivity with dual antenna.

No pricing details for the Lifebook UH900 yet, though it would be available early next year.
