Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H & 7950GT 256MB OC Edition

VR-Zone brings you yet another Core 2 Duo mainboard Review, the Foxconn 975X7AB. Featuring Foxconn’s very own Foxone overclocking technology, let’s take a look how well it performs against its 975X competitors as we explore the Foxconn 7950GT 256MB OC Edition at the same time…

Geeks in general have always known Foxconn (other wise, known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd) as the electronic component manufacturer, the company who makes your CPU socket, your PCi slots, your DIMM slots, your audio connectors…

Recently, Foxconn has begun taking notice of the overclocking/enthusiast market and has been introducing new mainboards with features that will entice this specific crowd. The 975X7AB-8EKRS2H is one of these specfic boards specially configured by the engineers at Foxconn to cater to this crowd. The 975X7AB-8EKRS2H is one of the first motherboards to include Foxconn’s revolutionary FoxOne Technology, a hardware overclocking implementation that’s similar to Abit’s uGuru technology. Users will be able to change overclocked settings upon startup at the BIOS as well as on-the-fly in Windows. We will take a look at this implementation later in the review. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the specs, and we’ll go on to explore the motherboard in detail.
