Facebook Paper for iPhone released

Facebook’s highly anticipated news reader has now hit the App Store, albeit only in the U.S.

It was rumored recently that Facebook is working on an app called Paper. Some believed that it would be a competitor for the likes of Flipboard and Google Currents. The app certainly does take on them, but it also brings an entirely new way of experiencing Facebook News Feed. The Facebook Paper for iPhone app is now available for download, at this point in time only customers based in the U.S. can download it through the App Store.

The app is based on the premise that users should be able to explore stories from friends and the world, and easily share them, while being mesmerized by the immersive designs and full screen capability, which provides a distraction free reading experience. Users’ News Feeds are pulled into Paper, which looks a lot better than the official Facebook app for iOS devices. Users will be able to customize their Paper with their favorite themes and interests, and will also be able to craft their own stories and see how they look before they’re published.

Download Facebook Paper for iPhone from App Store, its available for free.
