Ericsson Gets Connected with Chelsea FC

Singapore is currently hosting the International Challenge Cup, which sees footballing giants Chelsea FC, FC Bayern Munich and FC Internazionale playing against each other at Singapore’s 55,000 capacity National Stadium. And as part of the promotional activities surrounding the visit of the 2016-2017 English Premier League Champions Chelsea, global telecommunications giant Ericsson took the opportunity to highlight their role as the Official Connected Venue Partner of Chelsea FC.

Ericsson will soon implement a new connectivity solution at Chelsea’s home stadium, the legendary Stamford Bridge with the use of Small Cell solutions to create a free WiFi network at the stadium that will enable Chelsea fans to interact digitally during a match to friends, family, the club and other fans!

Representing Chelsea FC at the Ericsson event were the world-renowned players Alvaro Morata, Cesar Azpilicueta, Lewis Baker and Thibaut Courtois, who were on hand to answer fan questions, showcase their skills and play FIFA 17 against each other and Ericsson representatives.

Ericsson has also partnered with Singapore telco Singtel to offer the same Small Cell solutions to over 100 high-traffic locations in Singapore including MRT stations and shopping malls, so that Singtel users can enjoy seamless indoor 4G LTE data connectivity.
