Epson holds 3LCD Technology Forum in Singapore


Epson Singapore held a 3LCD Technology Forum for the media at Suntec Convention Centre this morning, and announced nine new projectors for home, business and educational institutes.

Anderson explained the benefits of 3LCD, showed the comparison to single-chip DLP technologies and gave a brief demostration to show the difference in image quality, colours, brightness and contrast.

Ng also announced the company’s latest projector series which include Epson EH-TW3500/TW4500 , Epson EB-1900 series, Epson EB-S7/X7/W8 and Epson EH-DM3 All-in-One Projector

Epson EH-TW3500/TW4500 – Utilizing Epson’s proprietary 3LCD technology, the new Epson EH-TW3500 and the high end Epson EH-TW4500 full high definition (1920 x 1080) home theatre projectors allow home users to enjoy the highest level of home entertainment experience with smoother, clearer image projections and improved video processing capabilities. With Epson’s revolutionary Dual Layer Advanced Auto Iris Technology, the top-of-the-line Epson EH-TW4500 is able to generate the world’s highest contrast ratio for a projector of up to 200,000:1 (two times higher than previous models).

Epson EB-1900 series – The Epson EB-1900, EB-1910 and EB-1915 multimedia projectors are designed for corporate and classroom environments, offering superior image projection and networking (including wireless connectivity) at affordable prices. This new range of high performance multimedia projectors features increased brightness of up to 4,000 lumens (lm), lightweight and compact designs that do not compromise on features, refined user-friendly applications and hassle-free set ups.

Epson EB-S7/X7/W8 – For budget conscious businesses and educational institutions, Epson has introduced the Epson EB-S7, EB-X7 and EB-W8 which are highly affordable entry level multimedia projectors that allow users to enjoy great performance at low running costs. With improved features such as their lightweight chassis (weighing only about 2.3kg – 30% smaller than previous models), front facing exhausts, integrated speakers, WXGA resolution and HDMI connectivity, the new series provide users with greater convenience and performance.

Epson EH-DM3 All-in-One Projector – Lastly, Epson unveils the Epson EH-DM3, an all-in-one projector with built-in DVD/DivX player and stereo speakers targeted at home theatre enthusiasts. It is an enhanced design from its award-winning predecessor – EMP-TWD1, which won the prestigious iF international product design award in 2005 for its innovative concept; as well as the convenience, performance and value it offers. The latest EH-DM3 offers an improved contrast ratio of 3000:1 and light output of up to 2,000 lm, enriching users’ viewing experience.
