Dell Launches Inaugural Alienware Arena Asia League

Dell has acquired Alienware, known for their high-end gaming PCs, few years ago, and  for this festive season, the company has held an inaugural regional gaming competition in Asia for gamers to compete for the title of Asia champion.

SINGAPORE, 10 December 2010 – Dell has organized an inaugural regional gaming competition this holiday season.  The Alienware Arena Asia League 2010 is the first on-site tournament that gathers elite DotA gamers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore to compete for the title of Asia Champion.
The qualifying rounds in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand took place on 27th and 28th of November and the winners are:
Indonesia: Alienware Olympus DiGi
– A team of highly dedicated gamers competing in multiple teams, Alienware Olympus DiGi
has raked in an extensive list of achievements, individually and as a team, with a recent win of the WCG Indonesia Championships 2010.
Malaysia: PtR
A newly formed team, PtR comprises of 5 very experienced gamers that came and conquered with their first team win under their belt. Every individual has a gaming background to boast about, emerging champions in various national tournaments.  
Thailand: Roccat-Trust
Hailing from Bangkok, Thailand, the team has been gaming competitively together for 2 years. Their achievements shout out nothing but the best, winning a string of national competitions. Roccat-Trust has also travelled the region to participate in tournaments, reaching the top 8 in the World DoTa Championships this year.
The respective country winning teams have won themselves an all-expenses paid trip to Singapore where they will compete in the grand finals for a chance to win up to S$3,000 in cash on the 15th of December 2010 at Funan DigitalLife Mall.
The inaugural Alienware Arena Asia League is a physical extension of the highly successful Alienware Arena online tournament platform, which sees hundreds of clans and gamers in the region honing their skills in individual and group friendly matches.
The Singapore qualifiers will take place on 13th and 14th December at the atrium of Funan DigitalLife Mall from 11am onwards to pick our best gamers.  The grand finals will be on the 15th December from 11am at Funan DigitalLife Mall.
