Creative Zen Vision and Muvo Vidz Launch

The other player that was launched today is the Creative Muvo Vidz. Being an
extremely compact flash based player, this player comes with a 1.8 inch OLED
display screen. The Muvo Vidz could play videos in MPEG 4 formats. Targeted at
the younger crowd, this player is made for the younger generation who would love
to view their favorite MTVs on the go. Though only weighing 33g, and measuring a
mere 32 x 66 x 15.7mm in size, the Muvo Vidz comes with great features, like the
ability to display 65,536 colors for the OLED screen and 10 hours of continuous
play back.

This candy bar sized player could play audio files, like MP3 and WMV, and
video files in MPEG-4 standard. For the video part, Creative have included a
software in the package that would allow users to convert their video files in
different format into MPEG-4 standard. 

Other features that will appeal to users who deal with music a lot, would be
the direct encoding line in feature. The Muvo Vidz comes with a Direct Line In
3.5mm jack, that allows for input from various machines, ranging from the
cassette tape deck, to the microphone. Also, FM radio is including on this
player, together with FM recording. All recordings on this player, be it Line
in, or FM, could be done in Variable Bit Rate mode, which saves on file size,
yet retains much of the audio quality.

Available in 2 memory denominations of 512MB and 1GB, these players are said
to be sold at an estimated street price of SGD$ 259, and SGD$ 349 respectively.

With the 1.8 inch OLED screen, the Muvo Vidz could play

On the top, control buttons like play/stop, Navigation, and
Recording buttons could be found.


On the bottom of the player is where the Hold switch is
located. This switch would key lock the player. Also, this is where the onboard
microphone is placed.


The earphone jack on the Muvo Vidz. This jack would not only
serve as an output for earphones, it also doubles up as a Line In port for
recording purposes.


The Muvo Vidz is availabe in these colors. However, we learnt
that the 1GB version will only be available in Black or Pink, while the 512MB
version comes in Silver.
