Creative launches Live! Cam inPerson HD

Creative Technology has announced their new Live! Cam inPerson HD, a high definition (HD) video and voice web camera for Skype HD video calling. It claims to offer crystal clear voice and hardware accelerated video encoding for smooth HD video.

Creative Technology has recently announced their new Skype-certified Creative Live! Cam inPerson HD for video and voice quality. It features an H.264 video encoding processor that promises the fastest possible video frame rate for HD video calling and alleviating the problem of choppy video that users often experience.

As the H.264 encoding is performed on the Creative Live! Cam inPerson HD, user does not need to have a high-performance PC to experience smooth high definition (HD) video quality with Skype. The H.264 compression also helps to deliver smooth, glitch-free HD video, ensuring fluid motion and high-quality video streaming over the web. With auto focus, images and videos looked clear and detailed even from a range of distances of up to 10 feet away.

In addition, the webcam also features crystal-clear voice through the implementation of Creative’s quad mic array. For improved voice quality, the mics are precisely spaced across the nine-inch flat-panel surface of the camera. This quad mic implementation coupled with Creative’s noise-canceling technology remove ambient noise much more effectively than web cams with single or stereo mics and allow the user to be heard with substantially greater clarity.

The Creative Live! Cam inPerson HD comes with bundled Live! Central 3 software suite with advanced video and audio effects, avatar creation, movie creation, desktop sharing features and surveillance capabilities.

Pricing and Availability

The Creative Live! Cam inPerson HD will be available at The CREATIVE Stores at International Business Park and Marina Square, the online store at sg.store.creative.com and authorised dealers in Singapore from June 2011 onwards at the suggested retail price of S$199.
