Cooler Master today launched a new high-end power supply with 80 Plus Titanium efficiency. Dubbed the MasterWatt Maker 1200 MIJ, the PSU uses Japanese and German made components, promising to deliver the performance, reliability and quality “you never thought possible”.
The MIJ in its name stands for Made in Japan. However, the PSU is not only made in Japan but was in fact designed in co-operation with Murata, a well-known Japanese electronics and components manufacturer. So all the components used in the MasterWatt Maker 1200 MIJ are of the highest quality available, to the standards of some of the most stringent electronics engineers in Japan. Many of the components are rated to work at temperatures as high as 150 degrees Celsius.
The MasterWatt Maker 1200 MIJ features multiple custom designed power conversion circuits and a new circuit board layout, which are all exclusive to it. These allow the PSU to operate in a fanless mode at up to 50 percent load. As an added advantage, it also enabled the company to use fewer heatsinks, while maintaining temperatures lower than rival products.
Key features include 80+ Titanium efficiency, 80% Japanese components, fully modular cabling, and a 10-year transferrable warranty. The MasterWatt Maker 1200 MIJ will be available through retailers in Asia, Europe, and North American beginning this month for a suggested retail price of $999.
