Cooler Master introduces a new Vapour Chamber CPU cooler – TPC 812

Over here at CES 2012 Las Vegas in their Bellagio suite, Cooler Master unveiled their latest products coming this year, including limited editions of the their larger than life COSMOS 2 casings, updated CM Storm Mice and full-sized mechanical keyboards (more on these later), and a new vapour chamber based CPU cooler with performance designed to compete head-on with entry level water cooling solutions. We take a look at the latter…

The new and radical TPC 812, comes with a 12cm PWM fan (additional brackets for push-pull also provided) and Socket LGA 2011 brackets

Side View – the TPC 812 uses the same quick install fan bracket as their ubiquitous V6 and newer Hyper coolers

Rear view – Honeycombed fins design help to maximize surface area

Top view – 6 regular U-shaped heatpipes with the vapour chamber block in the middle. Quite a pretty face for windowed cases

Usually found in high end graphic card coolers, the flat vapour chamber element in the middle enables the TPC 812 handle up to 240+W of TDP

The TPC 812 performs close to or better than entry level single radiator water cooling kits, and will be priced to compete with Corsair's H70/H80 series around the US$100 price point
