Buffalo WCR-HP-G300 High Power Wireless Router Review

The first page that you will see when you logged in to the web user interface of the router.

On basic wireless settings, users can configure up to three different SSIDs. Each SSID has a 'Separate' feature. This feature only allows the wireless clients to communicate to the internet and prevents them from communicating with the wired clients. The third SSID only allows Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption. This allows legacy devices such as the Sony PSP to connect to the network. We also noticed that there are no options of settings for the wireless transmit power nor data rate limiting options.

Apart from the standard Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), Buffalo also includes their proprietary AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS). Both features allows a secure wireless connection to be set up with the push of a button. AOSS is designed to use the maximum level of security available to both connecting devices including both Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA).

User can define their own schedule for the router to go into power saving mode.
