ATi R423 Card Info

Gigabyte has demonstrated a PCI Express based ATi R423 card
running at their booth over at Computex. Interestingly, it is an R423 XT card
running at a core clock of 500Mhz and memory clock of 1120Mhz. There won’t be
any Pro version of the R423 card like the current X800 Pro that contains 12
pipelines therefore all R423 cards will be 16 pipes based; R423 XT and R423 XT
Platinum (520Mhz core). There is not a need for an extra power connector (6
pins) to be plugged into the card in order to run it but of course it is still
recommended to do so. Gigabyte mentioned that all their R423 cards will come
with Dual DVI instead of one.
