ASUS today debuted its most affordable smartphone for the Indian market, the ZenFone Go.
The entry-level smartphone features a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 FWVGA resolution display, MediaTek MT6580M quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable onboard storage, 5MP rear camera, and a VGA front-facing unit for taking selfies and video calls.
The dual-SIM handset comes with a rather small 1600mAh capacity battery inside and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s Zen UI 2.0 custom layer on top. ASUS has priced the ZenFone Go at Rs.5,299 ($80) and it will be sold exclusively by major online retailer Flipkart. Color options on offer include Black, White, Blue, and Pink. The smartphone also comes with 5GB of free for lifetime ASUS Web Storage and 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years.
