Asus Republic of Gamers has announced its latest lineup of exciting new gaming products at the very first ROG Join the Republic: Outshine the Competition worldwide event held in Berlin, Germany. ASUS ROG Vice President Jackie Hsu took to the stage to announce that ROG is now the No. 1 gaming brand worldwide, according to media and fan polls. “ROG will continue to grow and outshine the competition. We’re the world’s No.1 gaming brand because we always listen our customers – the planet’s finest gamers,” said Mr Hsu.
ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card
Perhaps the most interesting product in the lineup is the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card with the next-gen DirectCU H20 hybrid cooling technology, giving users a choice of going with either air or liquid cooling. Asus claims it has improved the in-channel water-flow rate by 22 percent, enabling better heat dissipation. The card is built using Asus exclusive Auto-Extreme technology with the best of the best components to ensure high reliability. In terms of styling, the Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti integrates Asus Aura Sync with a reflective design concept, which apparently gives the illusion of a lighting effect extending to infinity.
ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card
The air-cooled ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti features the all-new MaxContact, an industry-first GPU cooling technology featuring an optimized copper spreader providing a 10X-flatter surface for up to 2X more contact area with the GPU than traditional heat spreaders. The MaxContact technology combines with three patented wing-blade 0dB fans to deliver 30 percent greater cooling and three times quieter performance when compared to reference GTX 1080 Ti cards. Another cool feature is that the fans are actually IP5X certified for dust-resistance, which will help with reliability. Similar to the Poseidon, the Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti too is made using Auto-Extreme technology and features Asus Aura Sync lighting.
ROG Swift PG27VQ: 27-inch curved gaming monitor
The ROG Swift PG27VQ is a 27-inch curved gaming monitor with 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution, high 165 Hz refresh rate, and support for NVIDIA’s G-SYNC variable refresh rate technology for a completely smooth gaming experience. It features Quantum-dot technology as well, allowing it to display a wider range of colors than conventional monitors. Asus is marketing it as the world’s first gaming monitor with Aura Sync RGB lighting technology, projected from the back of the monitor.
ROG Swift PG27UQ: 4K UHD HDR monitor
The ROG Swift PG27UQ on the other hand is a flat-screened HDR gaming monitor with a 27-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution panel and ultra-fast 144 Hz refresh rate. It boasts a locally dimmed backlight with 384 individual zones, allowing to deliver higher contrast and greater detail in dark scenes. Thanks to Quantum-dot technology, the monitor covers the cinema-standard DCI-P3 color gamut for a wider range of colors.
ROG Strix XG27VQ 144Hz curved gaming monitor
The ROG Strix XG27VQ is a 27-inch curved gaming monitor with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and an impressive 144 Hz refresh rate. The frameless design of the monitor makes it an ideal choice for multi-display surround setups. Apart from a high refresh rate, this one comes with Ultra Low Blue Light and Flicker Free technologies as well as Asus Aura RGB lighting at the back.
ROG SLI HB Bridge
The all-new ROG SLI HB (High-Bandwidth) Bridge doubles the available transfer bandwidth of the previous generation to deliver detailed graphics and silky smooth gameplay. ROG Areion 10G Ethernet card
The ROG Areion 10G Ethernet card is compatible with five transfer rates – 10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps, and 100Mbps. To help you monitor the LAN-speed easily, it features speed-indicator LEDs. It is powered by the Aquantia AQtion AQC107 LAN chip and comes with a full-size heatsink to make sure it runs cool even under load.
