Asus launches Z97 and H97 motherboards

A slew of new Z97 and H97 motherboards cater to users across all segments and requirements.


After prematurely listing the motherboards on its site last week, Asus has finally unveiled the Z97 and H97 series motherboards today. The motherboards feature Asus’ 5-Way Optimization technology that allows you to easily overclock the CPU, control the fans and cooling solutions as well as network and audio settings.


The motherboards also feature DIGI+ VRM for durability in addition to several Asus exclusive technologies like Crystal Sound 2 and HomeCloud. In the Z97 series, Asus has the Z97-Deluxe (NFC&WLC ), Z97-Deluxe, Z97-Pro (Wi-Fi ac), Z97-Pro, Z97-A and the Z97-AR.

In the gaming series, Asus is offering the Maximus VII Gene for the high-end enthusiast market, the Maximus VII Hero for the mid-tier market and the Maximus VII Ranger for the entry-level market.


The H97 series sees the following: H97-Pro, H97-Plus, H97M-Plus, H97M-E and the H97I-Plus. Asus is also launching four new motherboards in its toughened line:  The Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1, Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2, Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition and the Gryphon Z97.

The refreshed Haswell line of CPUs are set to launch later in the summer. Asus will soon begin selling its new Z97 and H97 motherboards across all major retailers like Amazon and Newegg
