According to Taiwanese publication Digitimes, Apple is planning to launch its next-gen 13- and 15-inch MacBooks by the end of the second quarter this year.
While no details on the specifications have been shared, the report does claim that the new MacBooks will resemble the 12-inch MacBook in terms of overall design and are going to be even thinner than current MacBook Air. While we cannot be certain at this point, such a thin profile could suggest the upcoming 13 and 15-inch MacBooks may not be as “Pro-friendly” as the current 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pros. However, since the report doesn’t specify whether these new models will replace the current MacBook Pro models or if they will be part of an entirely new line, hope still remains for those of you looking for a more powerful 2016 MacBook Pro.
Also keep in mind that the Taiwanese publication isn’t exactly the most trusted source of Apple rumors, so it is definitely a good idea to take the above info with a few grains of salt.
