AOpen XC Cube EY65 & EX65 Review

XC Cube EY65 is a full aluminum chassis with a coat of silver
paint that makes it less venerable to scratches. The lightweight and small frame
makes it easy to carry around. There is a special coating of leather (black
areas) at the side of the front control panel to give a more unique look and
feel. The ventilation holes at both sides of the chassis allows intake of air
from the left side and channel out the hot air from the right side for more
effective cooling. The drive bays are concealed to give a more pleasant overall
look. AOpen targets their EY65 for Young Urbanites.

AOpen has provided a support stand for the EY65 to be attached
to the bottom of the front control panel to give a classier look.

The power button with silver lining is illuminated with a blue
LED and a blue HDD activity light is situated below it. The overall look is
certainly impressive when the system is turned on. The front panel connectors
consists of the S/PDIF Out port, Speaker jack, Microphone jack, USB 2.0 ports,
6-pin Firewire port and a 4-pin Firewire port.

The back panel of the EY65 holds the switchable PSU (110/230V)
as well as extra ventilation holes and there are 3 thumb screws to secure the
housing to the chassis.

The back panel connectors consists of the Printer port, PS/2
keyboard and mouse, Com port, VGA port, Coaxial RCA port, Firewire port, S/PDIF
In port, Ethernet RJ-45 jack, USB 2.0 ports, Line-In, Speaker and Mic jacks.
