AMD Quad-Core Opteron based on 65nm process, 300mm wafer is targeted for Q1 2006 released according to TheInquirer. The quad core Opterons will be based on F-Stepping cores. If this is true, AMD will be one year ahead of Intel in terms of Quad core offering slated for mid 2007.
